Summer Retreat in Erie!
Save the date for July 15 and 16 for a Summer Retreat with the Green Party of PA in Presque Isle State Park in Erie, PA. The retreat will provide an opportunity for PA Greens to connect with each other and with the environment in this spectacular setting.
Presque Isle, located on the edge of Lake Erie, offers a tremendous opportunity for sightseeing and family fun. Besides miles of beautiful coastline, the area supports many unique habitats. It’s a favorite spot for migrating birds and contains a greater number of the state's endangered, threatened and rare species than any other area of comparable size in Pennsylvania. The Presque Isle lighthouse, Waterworks Park, water sports, camping, and the Tom Ridge Environmental Center are all easily accessible. The retreat will be held over the weekend. Saturday afternoon we will have the opportunity to focus on Green issues while local groups present and discuss their work in a number of relaxed workshops. Stay with us on Sunday and join the GPPA business meeting from 10am-4pm.
The Summer Retreat in Presque Isle presents a great opportunity for the GPPA to grow and connect with our NWPA members as well as our Green neighbors in Eastern Ohio and Southern New York. As the date nears we will be announcing workshops and details. We look to forward to seeing you there!
