Minutes from Last ComTeam Meeting
Minutes from our 1/5 virtual meeting were set to ComTeam members on 1/8. No addition or corrections were received, https://docs.google.com/document/d/18D1ojE-ScSI4JUu7e2Wlmevybgsf3VwpiyUZrb3OSP4/editNEW BUSINESS
January News Releases
Our first news release of 2021 was “Green Party Supports Treaty to Ban Nuclear Weapons,” (draft by Chris), which was posted to the GPPA website by David O. on 1/13, https://www.gpofpa.org/green_party_supports_treaty_to_ban_nuclear_weapons. It has also appeared on the GPUS website, https://www.gp.org/green_party_supports_treaty_to_ban_nuclear_weapons.Back in December, David suggested a news release about the turnover in GPPA leadership. Tina thought she might have time to question the new GPPA steering committee about their plans for the GP. Any progress, Tina?
Noah is working on a news release which will answer those who have been misled about socialism/communism. This topic was discussed during our last meeting. Any progress, Noah?
Justin Bell is working on an update concerning the homeless encampments in Philadelphia and (maybe) Allentown. Justin emailed to Chris that he is temporarily withdrawing from the ComTeam.
Matt is working on a news release about a demonstration at Rep. Connor Lamb’s office, which will be based on the excellent photos he took there. Any progress, Matt?We need more ideas for news releases in 2021. Please post them here, https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSf96yFeP3yCBrlCNBwDbmtWrXkdNeknHAZUsQFl3IGpjoGYQw/viewform, for Steering Committee consideration.Paring Dead Wood from ComTeam
Currently, the ComTeam has 27 members, with only 10 being active. Chris plans to contact those who have not participated during 2020 to see what plans they have.Social Media Team
The Social Media Team will meet following the ComTeam meeting. Here is the proposed agenda, written by their leader, Matt, https://docs.google.com/document/d/13kXi7Hn5VW-1Y0CscFPmsOoxZjk6Vqqy8mT0SJSIWqY/editFebruary GREEN STAR
Deadline for copy will be Friday, 1/22.If you want to learn how to edit a page, please talk with Chris.
Chris has already contacted the county Green Parties, asking for their February events.
Chris also contacted our page editors, Hal Brown (“Global Green News”), David O. (“National Green News”), Beth Scroggin and Tina Olson (“Co-chair Lead Story”) and our Team leaders. At our last meeting we tentatively agreed to suspend “Campaign Updates” because we do not yet have any 2021 campaigns for office. We already have Team Reports from Chris (ComTeam) and Garret (GreenWave Team). We will probably have to skip the other two teams because they are not yet organized under new leadership.*COMMUNICATION TEAM CONFERENCE CALL, 1/19, 7:00 pm* *JOIN ZOOM MEETING*One tap mobile +19294362866,,88366393945#,,,,,,0#,,482796# US (New York)+13017158592,,88366393945#,,,,,,0#,,482796# US (Germantown)Meeting ID: 883 6639 3945_______________________________Next Communication Team Virtual Meeting
